Ok, here’s the deal. Paypabak Writer is reviewing skin, and for the sake of accurately showing what it looks like, we’re posting pictures of Pay in the buff. Just think of Pay as a work of art sculpture or a Greek Goddess. It is art. Honest!—Shauna Skye
I’ve been working with Fianna Idora of Enchant 3D in developing her first line of skins, so I admit a lack of impartiality from the get-go here. Lately, I’ve been fixated over skins: SLink, PLX, and Genesis have all had me going through my hard-earned Lindens like a drug addict. I am particularly fixated on freckles and nipples–oops, can I write that in a PG-rated blog? And for that matter, can we show said items in the attempt to accurately review the product? (I have a number of friends already grinning and thinking, “Pay’s looking for another excuse to appear naked on the Web!”) Stay tuned!
The one thing that can sober up a skin addict is price (Do remember that this particular addict has two alts, one who indulges in Neko skins of the striped, spotted, and definitely furred variety.) I lurves the new PLX Grace skins for their quality, choice of freckles and nice details on a certain naughty bit . . . I absolutely whimpered with delight over the new line of skins from Ryker Beck, Genesis Eden . . . great freckles, again, and wonderful nipples! But the prices make one pause. I truly believe they are at market value, don’t begrudge them at all for asking what they do (1500 for Grace, 1000 for Eden, per makeup) but I faint at the idea of what a fat pack would cost.
What Fianna has done, of course, is bring price point into play by offering high-quality skins in “Plump Packs” for near the same price as one skin from the more trendy designers. A single skins comes with one makeup, four eyebrow colors, four merkins, and eyelash prims, with the brows, merkins, and prims copy/mod for further customization to your liking. The price? $349L!!! A Plump Pack consists of four makeups (lip colors nude, natural, pink, and red) and the same collection of extras. The makeups are cleanly done and skin textures are very realistic. From my profile shots you can see what I like about them because of the almost-freckle-like texture of the cheeks. The breasts look wonderful with nice nips and no overshading under or between, great detailing on abs and tummy on down to the knees and feet. The kitty is bare, following the wonderful trend of providing a panty merkin for handling color and whether or not you really want it, and not very … um … explicit … The back and butt are well done, too.
I’ve been encouraging Fi to grab a celebrity shape from Body Double to test out the skins’ fit to what should be reliably worked-out shapes to check fit and on the celebs I have (Charlize Theron, Jennifer Garner, Scarlett Johansson) they were marvelous! (I also encouraged her to use a celeb in her sales textures . . . wink*wink).
Fianna is no fly-by-night designer. Her Enchant 3D store has been around for a long time and filled with great outfits and jewelry, all reasonably priced. This new line of skins is just another skills-growth exercise for her and she has accomplished it with aplumb. As with all such things, try out the demos first; they’re free. I think a visit to her store is well worth your while for these great skins.
