This week’s bull winner Ed Starspear caused more than a little suspicion due to his score being the highest we’ve seen on Zorro so far. In all these weeks the highest has been 53, so seeing Ed score 58.757 was mind blowing. “I suspect cheating,” one rider just came out and said.
Well, I assure you I didn’t fiddle with anything or press any buttons that I shouldn’t have, but I understand people questioning it because I didn’t think it was real at first either. In the past I’ve seen friends do graphic magic and put really fake high scores over the real ones. I won’t name any names. (Serendipidy Haven)
There have been people even more shameless though, not content to just get high score but wanting their name to cover the entire board. The contest doesn’t allow a name on the board more than once, but I arrived in town to see this:
Terrible, yes. But I was touched that Graz still allowed my name on there even when trying to cheat.
As you can see it’s not unheard of for the bull riders to try stuff on, so when I saw Ed’s monster score I thought for sure he had does the same. I was all ready to move his “fake” score out of the way when I saw it was . . . genuine!
I think Ed must have been coming secretly to feed and pet Zorro. He now holds the record for highest score on Zorro EVER and will be given his prize some time today. Congratulations Ed!
