I keep finding these great steampunk-themed sims! While visiting various merpeople sims for my recent article in ROLE Magazine, I discovered the Waterworld-like island of Armada Breakaway. Now my good friend gets a gig as the manager of Inter’Zone and again I’m seeing skypirate balloons and zeppelins docked to this amazing brick and stone structure in the ocean of air above Abranic. There’s a great pirate ship floating near what looks like a monitor stand the size of an industrial derrick. Simply amazing stuff!
The group profile states: “Music, music, music . . . and a new scene, in honor of an old one. Inter’ZONE: a sky pirates’ entrepot, a dance club, a smuggler’s paradise. Hang out with the DJ, listen to alternative music of every stripe, tease the help.” Any profile throwing around the term “entrepot” deserves a fair look, so I wandered about the nearly invisible walkways between balloon-lofted platforms that surround the Inter’Zone’s core, which is adorned with sculptures of helmeted female forms. Toucans fly about the main entrance.

Owner/Designer Orlanda Cortes has a very singular vision of design, creating this wonderful “club” as well as very interesting clothing that she refuses to put on sale for personal reasons. If you view one of the “SwarmSister” pictures on on my Splintered Rock ning page you will see attachments and the helmet that she designed and is letting us use as part of our uniforms. This free-wheeling attitude informs Inter’Zone and makes me think it’s a place worth visiting often to see how it will continue to evolve.
