It’s official. I have overdosed on monsters. Instead of celebrating Halloween just in October as most people do, it’s like I have been celebrating it all year.
It began with a minor obsession with post apocalyptic furniture. I’ve always liked sci-fi, vampires, tank girl . . .. and somehow having this anarchy stuff progressed to roadkill noobs and zombies. Add to that my constant visits to Cutea Benelli’s stores, and the result is an overdose of grim.
How many of you have seen the Nightmare Before Christmas? Well, remember the part where Jack goes through the magic tree? It takes him from his home of Halloween Town and into this strange place he can barely fathom called Christmas Town. Remember how excited Jack was to be in a happy place and see “children throwing snowballs instead of throwing heads”? That’s about how I feel.
Some of you may laugh, but I’m putting Christmas decorations up at Dear Prudence already. I’m purging myself of Halloween, and I want to see something cheery for a change. If you know of anywhere with good decorations let me know. I am very choosy about Christmas trees though. The sculpted ones are the only ones I even consider.
So far the nicest tree I’ve found is at this holiday store. I’m sure there are ones bigger or more intricate in design but this one is also low prim. It’s scultped so you get a full 3D look, and it comes with a menu to change colors of the lights, decoration, etc. The tree cost 350 lindens but that’s worth it to me since I hate non-sculpted trees, which only look nice from a distance.
Trinkets also has some scultped trees which look cute and are low in prims. The cool thing about Trinkets is everything there is under 99 lindens, so give them a visit as well.
