I’ve search high and low for nice flowers and plants in Second Life. Many look bad if you view them from the side, appearing like cardboard cutout things except from one angle. Others, with improved appearance and low prims due to the miracle of being “sculpted” have carried a large price tag. Some of the sculpted plants look good, while others are just a step up from the cardboard-ish looking plants; and as with all sculpties, you can get a bit of distortion from a distance.

I finally found some lovely flowers. These are not made the traditional way, nor are they sculpted. They’re made from particles, but look better than other particle plants which have seemed somehow unreal or temporary. These look nice from a distance too because they do not distort like sculpties, and they take up only one prim.

There were different varieties of potted flowers, but I’ve included just one here as an example. The creator is only charging 15 lindens per flower pot, so I bought quite a lot of them. These are the coolest I’ve seen. I got one of each variety for myself, and a bought a few extra to give to friends.
