Slate McLeod, creator of the 1965 England sim and mod hangout Twisted Wheel, had a huge Second Life wedding on Friday. In the past Slate has been quite vocal in his profile about not doing second life relationships, so his partnering with Maddie Ansar and subsequent wedding was a bit of a surprise to some.
Slate addressed this during the ceremony in his vows to Maddie. “I once said in my profile that I ‘don’t do SL relationships’, but some rules are made to be broken and in this case I simply had no choice. I am so proud to be here with you in this moment to take you as my wife. This is without doubt the greatest day of my Second Life.”
The church was full, and the lag unbelievable. Still it was a happy occasion even if I did crash five times. Mods came out in droves, dressing up and wishing the couple well. We at Moonletters would also like to wish Slate and Maddie the best in their new Second Life together.

Wedding always seem to have that effect: so much happiness at the expense of so much lag! Still, thanks for sharing and best wishes to the new couple!
