Moonletters is not currently seeking regular weekly columnists, but are open to volunteer freelance writers.

Topics should fit into one of our current categories. We have a particular need for articles in the categories below:

* Art, Culture, Education
* Fashion, Hair, Skin
* Free or Cheap
* Fun Places
* Home and Garden
* Interesting Items
* Linden Lab News
* Music Stuff
* Newbie Help

There is no set length on an article, but you should include a SLURL/landmark of the location you’re writing about, and one JPG image, preferably no wider than 452 pixels. If your article is quite long it is ok to send two pictures, though there’s no guarantee both pictures will be used.

If you’re writing about something for sale, include the cost of the item and other information you think our readers would want to know. We ask that you stick to one topic per article. The SLURL, if any, will appear at the bottom.

While Moonletters is read by grown ups, we want to keep the content fairly clean . Also, we do not want articles published on other sites, or which are just shameless plugs. If you want to write about stuff you’re affiliated with please ask me first. I’m usually ok with it, I just ask that you are honest first to me, then to the readers.

Articles and JPG images should be sent to ShaunaSkye@gmail.com. If you write a couple of times and would like to be considered a freelance writer here, you can have a bio on our staff page. Freelance writers submit whenever they are able to, and are not held to a schedule like staff writers are. We are happy to give you a classified ad and link to your own Second Life based site if you have one for as long as you’re a fairly active contributor. Aside from this though, writing is strictly voluntary so you won’t get rich!
